Are they all sunflowers?
 Spaced-out and well-defined petals.
Petals that are closed together
Hmm.... this is really interesting, 4 flowers on 1 stalk??
A close-up
:) Yours Truly The heavy downpour and strong winds that accompanied it for the two nights had wrecked havoc in our sunflowers corner. The wreckage plus innumerable red ants stirred up quite a panic amongst our students! Mr. Ng and myself went to "inspect" the damages and luckily the worst has yet to be. Phew! We went for a closer look and discovered some interesting things about the sunflowers that we grew. There seems to be a few varieties grown! The characteristics of the flowers are quite varied..... 1)The flowers have different types of petals, some petals are very closed together while some are spaced-out. 2) Some of the flowers grew singly while a few stalks have 4 to 5 flowers growing on it! 3)The shape of the flowers looked different too..hmm... Well, students from the three schools, do take a closer look and see if you can spot some more differences. I will upload some more photographs for you... Mrs Ariel
