Ukulele Practice!

The students of Woodlands Primary are very excited to be visiting Taiwan in a few days' time! Here they are, practicing for their Ukulele performance next Saturday!

台灣鳥類介紹---麻雀

麻雀 Passer montanus 台語 ： 厝鳥 體長 :14 公分 展翅長:23 公分 褐頭白面帶有黑色雙頰的麻雀，主要分佈在歐亞大陸，除兩極附近、大洋海島外，在全世界都可以看到他們。在東亞，麻雀就棲息在人類的活動區內，通常在民房的屋簷下或是通風口處築巢；在秋、冬季時，常大群地聚集在蘆葦林、草地或是稻田附近，叫聲為「唧」。

台灣鳥類介紹---台灣藍鵲

台灣鳥類介紹：
台灣藍鵲(Formosan Blue Magpie)
鴉科 　　台灣特有種，為低海拔山區之不普遍留鳥。其頭胸部為黑色，體為藍色，尾長，嘴及腳為鮮紅色，非常容易辨認，身長約６４cm左右。
習性：常數隻一群在樹木較稀疏而有溪流橫貫之山谷活動覓食。當牠們一隻接一隻展翅高飛時，實為珍貴之美景。牠們雖有美麗之外表，但是性情卻非常凶猛，若有人接近牠的巢，必會受其猛烈的攻擊。
食性：通常以果實為食，但也會捕食蜥蝪、小蛇、老鼠及小鳥等小動物，與樹鵲一樣，也嗜食龍眼及荔枝。
